SCIENTOLOGY BRINGS SUCCESS TO SCOTTISH WRITER
In Drew Robb’s early days his attempts at writing brought little to no success. As a teen, he wrote songs and poems. At the age of 19, he decided to write the “great Scottish novel”. Just 20 pages in he realised something that was difficult to accept — his writing was a confused jumble and he had very little to say.
That set him on a path to experience life, learn from those experiences, and perhaps then have something worthwhile to share with others. He traveled the world, worked various jobs and somewhere along the way, he made contact with Scientology.
Now Drew is one of the top non-fiction writers in the world. He has been a full-time freelance writer for more than 25 years with thousands of articles published in magazines such as Forbes, Writer’s Digest, IEEE Spectrum, Time Magazine, Power Magazine, Renewable Energy World, Computerworld, and Information Week. He has written for companies such as Microsoft, General Electric, Dell, Siemens Energy, 3M, and Salesforce.
But how did he break into the profession and rise to the top?
The introductory Scientology Communication Course was an immediate turning point. “Instead of being introverted into my own thoughts”, he says. “It extroverted my attention onto the world around me.”
He could talk more and write more freely.
Next, he did the Scientology Study Technology course.
“I learned about the three main barriers to study,” Drew recalls. “And the third, and most important one, the misunderstood word, opened the door to a whole new career as a non-fiction writer.”
He gained the ability to study anything rapidly and understand it – even highly technical subjects. This became the key to his writing career – the ability to quickly get up to speed in any area and interview technical professionals on their specialties. This ability became especially useful when the IT Dot Com boom was happening in the late 1990s at the same time as a boom in new power generation plants and renewable energy.
Although he knew nothing about computers and even less about engineering and energy, those subjects were the ones that magazines and his early clients wanted him to write about. L. Ron Hubbard’s Study Technology helped him become proficient in those subjects within a few months.
Within just one year, he was able to interview renowned experts in those fields and his articles were so popular that editors from leading magazines began calling him out of the blue to offer him lucrative assignments. His client base mushroomed.
He has continued studying Scientology and receiving Scientology counselling with a focus on communication.
“One day I realized that although people treated me as an expert in IT and energy, I am not. Through Scientology, I have become a communication expert.”
“This has enabled me to enter any subject and write about it to a high level.”
